Okay Denver party people, on August 13th, 2009 the DenverTweetup is taking over the Flying Dog Brewery for a night of fun, networking, and shenanigans.

Flying Dog Brewery is providing FREE BEER from 6pm-8pm, and then all of our tweeple will be going on a pub crawl through LoDo. It’s beer too good to be free, but Flying Dog is full of beer lovers too nice to mind!

But we’re drinking responsibly! We’re taking donations for the Food Bank of the Rockies at the door, with a $5 suggested donation (but please feel free to give more!). Every dollar you donate will help feed someone for 4 days! You don’t have to donate, but we reserve the right to smack you upside your head for being a cheapskate! 100% of Donations will go to the food bank directly.

The pubs are expected to give us discounts for our crawl, and they will be announced the week before the event. Oh, and did we mention there is going to be FREE BEER?

Starting at 6:00pm we are going to go all out tailgating at Red Rocks. Bring your coolers, lawn chairs, and frisbees for hanging out for an informal pre-show party in the upper parking lot. This is just the warm-up.

Then at 7:00pm we’ll head into the Red Rocks Amphitheater to hang out in our very own VIP section generously provided by Denver Film.

There we will be watching the amazingly talented local Colorado musician Gregory Alan Isakov take to the stage and jam out some good Colorado music for our enjoyment.

And to cap the night off, we will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Office Space by watching on the big screen as the sun goes down over Denver.

Denver Tweetup has arrived at its new home on the interweb!

Okay party people, the DenverTweetup has a new official home on the web thanks to @Trypnotik and @TheBigKlosowski.  Check back here often to find news about upcoming Tweetups in the Denver area.
